Lynott Jewellery has a new section in Brown Thomas Dundrum, and PP Construction carried out the fit-out. From the fluted pink counter and brass plinth to the glass display cabinets, illuminated signage and the permanent jewellery welding station, this was a full shopfitting job delivered on the floor of one of Dublin’s busiest department stores.

About Lynott Jewellery
Lynott Jewellery is an Irish jewellery brand offering permanent jewellery, engraving and personalised pieces, with stores and concessions in Dublin, Cork and Limerick, including Arnotts and Brown Thomas. PP Construction looks after the shopfitting for Lynott across its locations, so when the Dundrum section was confirmed we already knew the brand, the finishes and the standard expected.
What We Built
The Lynott section is an island counter on the shop floor, so it has to look right from every side. The counter is wrapped in fluted panelling in Lynott’s signature dusty pink, sitting on a brass finish plinth, with a lit recess beneath the counter top that washes the panelling with light.
On top, glass display cabinets in slim brass framed sections run the full length of the counter, so the jewellery is lit and visible to customers walking past. Behind the counter, white storage units with drawers keep stock, packaging and gift bags out of sight while staying within reach of the team.
The Lynott name appears three ways: an illuminated lightbox panel on the corner of the counter, a backlit sign on the rear fixture, and applied graphics on the pink panels alongside the brand’s Forever Permanent Jewellery script.
The Permanent Jewellery Station
One end of the counter is set up as a permanent jewellery station, with bar stools where customers sit while a bracelet, anklet or charm is welded on with a seamless, clasp free finish. It needs a comfortable working height for the jeweller, power for the welding equipment and good light, all built into the counter so it reads as part of the same piece of furniture.
Working in a Live Department Store
Fitting out a concession inside a trading department store is a different job from a standalone shop. Works are planned around the store’s trading hours and its rules for contractors, the area is kept clean and dust free, deliveries are timed to suit the store, and the finished unit has to meet the standard the store expects of every brand on its floor. Our team has worked in Brown Thomas and Arnotts before, so the process was a familiar one.
